Inspection and Certification of Lifting and Lifesaving Appliances
Red Rock multi discipline service engineers recently attended the SPS of a high-technology drillship “MOU” in Stavanger that is designed to complete drilling and sub-sea well services to the global oil and gas industry. The ship has Bahamas flag and DNV GL classification with DRILL class notation.
As part of the scope of work, was to complete five yearly inspection of the ships Mac Gregor AHC Offshore Crane, MH Wirth Pipe Handling Crane, Schat Harding KISS 1000 Conventional lifeboats with launching appliance and on load release gear, and Mare Safety Fast Rescue Boat with TTS HL9 Davit and Henriksen off load release gear. Load testing was also completed, including load testing of pad eyes on drill floor, machine room, and main deck.
